The Yakima Valley is home to a dozens boutiques and gift shops, each with a unique spin. All are dressed up in festive, holiday spirit and stocked for holiday gift giving. Here are a few of the locals’ favorites.

Farmgirl Pickings is a relative newcomer to the Yakima shopping scene but they’ve made a mark, quickly becoming a favorite! They share their passion for creating, gardening and decorating with unique, vintage-inspired finds. Find the perfect gift with the personal touch in their farmhouse-style boutique.

Fiddlesticks has been a fixture in Yakima for more than 35 years! It’s a locals’ favorite stop for décor, clothing, gifts, jewelry and more. It’s a must-visit spot this season, especially for their fantastic selection of holiday décor.

Gretchen is a long-time Yakima Valley favorite for womens fashion. They offer contemporary pieces, sportswear, denim, dresses, accessories and more in an upscale, boutique setting. Find something unique this season!

Inklings Bookshop  is a Valley gem. Independent bookstores are worth supporting every day of the year and Inklings is dedicated to bringing Yakima the best of the world of books. LaKat Gallery in the town of Naches showcases a collection of photography and handcrafted woodwork from talented craftsmen. Find frames, furniture, yard décor and more.

Provisions Restaurant + Market is filled with carefully curated gifts for the home and kitchen. In addition to local wine, craft beer and artisan foods, they carry a variety of locally made goods, gifts and décor items.

Shopkeeper is your place for exquisite gifts this season with fine holiday décor throughout the store. It’s worth visiting just to soak up the spirit of the season.

The Little Soapmaker offers an array of bath and body products, as well as a selection of gifts in their lovely, historic space. The all-natural soaps, lotions, oils, scrubs and more are hand-crafted in 150 fragrance.

Ummelina Yakima Valley Spa Retreat has a wonderful shop in addition to their outstanding spa services. Pick up carefully crafted signature bath, body and healing products and an array of other gifts for the senses and the spirit.

Vaux Shoes is an independent, locally-owned and operated specialty comfort and running shoe store. They specialize in fashionable footwear for support and comfort in every occasion.

Whimsical Details is a fantastic addition to downtown Yakima. In addition to recycled and upcycled creations for you and your home, they carry new home goods and décor, handmade jewelry, clothing and more.

Yakima’s Ship Shop promises more than convenient shipping. Their gift shop is stocked with goods from more than 80 NW makers, including wine, beer, cider, candies, candles and more.

The Yakima Valley Visitor Information Center now has two locations. Inside the main entrance of the Valley Mall, find The Yakima Valley Info Center and Gift Shop. Visit the main location on Fair Avenue. Both locations carefully curate locally made goods from throughout the Valley, including hand-selected gift baskets perfect for sharing with family, friends and business associates this holiday season. Stop by and pick up a pre-filled gift basket or place orders to craft custom gift baskets filled an assortment of Yakima Valley-made treats and products and your favorite local wine or brews. They offer in-town delivery and can ship baskets for you (wine and beer must be excluded from shipped baskets). Don’t forget Yakima Valley wineries, breweries  and restaurants are small businesses too! Now’s the perfect time find your new favorite wine or craft brew for the holiday table, gift to local friends or ship to family and friends away. Don’t forget to add the brewery swag! Winery and brewery tours make great gifts too.  Gift the gift of a night out with gift cards to your favorite local restaurants. Send a gift card to out-of-town family for their next visit to the Valley. 

Farm Market Flavors

Don’t overlook the Valley’s farm markets for gift giving and for your table this season!

Chukar Cherries, the Northwest’s favorite dried cherry maker, calls the town of Prosser home. Visit their flagship store there for more cherry inspired treats than we can name. From cherries, nuts and confections to bakery goods and sauces, find something for stockings and your favorite host.

Ahtanum Berry Patch delivers delectable seasonal treats from their bakeshop. It may not be fresh berry season, but they’re stocked with cookies, pies, pastries, handmade granola and, of course, jams. Check their Facebook page for hours.

Johnson Orchards is the local go-to for handmade pies and pastry of all types, as well as a wide selection of artisan baked goods. Of course, you’ll find local apples and other locally sourced gifts, wine and gourmet food items.

Precision Fruit & Antiques is a long-time valley favorite for gift giving. In addition to produce throughout the growing season, pick up local wine, signature foods such as candies, jams, preserves and pickles, and artisan goods. Of course, t’s a favorite destination for antique lovers.

Washington Fruit Place and Gift Shop @ Barrett Orchards is another locals’ destination every season. During the holidays they transform their gift shop into a holiday wonderland with unique décor, gourmet foods, cheeses, apples and gift baskets.

Shop the Valley Mall

For a more traditional holiday shopping experience, find favorite national stores at The Valley Mall. Notable newcomers to Valley Mall shopping this year include Nordstrom Rack, Hickory Farms and a newly re-opened Sears location. In addition to large retailers such as Cabela’s, Kohl’s, Macy’s and JCPenney, find a variety specialty stores and some locally owned shops such Farmgirl Pickings and The Cascade Garden Shop. This year, don’t miss the Valley Mall’s Winter Wonderland Ice Rink.
