Make Downtown Yakima’s Shop Small, Shine Bright Small Business Saturday Celebration your first stop. This year, take it easy and sign up for Small Business Saturday downtown shuttle service with Little Hopper. Book your spot to hop on at Public House East or West and hop off in Downtown Yakima ready to shop local! Next, head to Historic Downtown Prosser’s Small Business Saturday, complete with Santa, Christmas music and shopping to win a prize.

The festive Downtown Yakima fun continues on Sunday, December 1, with the Holiday Market at Rotary Pavillion from 2 to 6 pm. Find the perfect gifts from local vendors and then find a spot to watch the Lighted Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting, beginning at 6 pm.

Ahtanum Berry Patch delivers delectable seasonal treats from their bakeshop. It may not be fresh berry season, but they’re stocked with cookies, pies, pastries, handmade granola and, of course, jams. Check their Facebook page for hours.

Johnson Orchards is the local go-to for handmade pies and pastry of all types, as well as a wide selection of artisan baked goods. Of course, you’ll find local apples and other locally sourced gifts, wine and gourmet food items.

Precision Fruit & Antiques is a long-time valley favorite for gift giving. In addition to produce throughout the growing season, pick up local wine, signature foods such as candies, jams, preserves and pickles, and artisan goods. Of course, it’s a favorite destination for antique lovers.

Washington Fruit Place and Gift Shop @ Barrett Orchards is another locals’ destination every season. During the holidays they transform their gift shop into a holiday wonderland with unique décor, gourmet foods, cheeses, apples and gift baskets.


Shop the Valley Mall

For a more traditional holiday shopping experience, find favorite national stores at The Valley Mall. In addition to large retailers such as Cabela’s, Kohl’s, Macy’s and JCPenney, find a variety specialty stores and some locally owned shops such Farmgirl Pickings.
