Join us for a beloved cultural event in Wapato, Yakima!
The 63rd Annual Sukiyaki Dinner is back—bringing together community, culture, and incredible Japanese food for a joyful, family-friendly celebration. Hosted by the Yakima Buddhist Church & Friends, this annual fundraiser honors the rich Japanese American legacy in the Yakima Valley while raising vital funds to support the community. Enjoy our freshly-prepared sukiyaki (slowly simmered thinly-sliced prime rib beef with vegetables and glass noodles cooked in a sweet and savory broth) inside the Kaikan or outside with live music, entertainment and activities. Bring the whole family!
