    Kids and Family Classes and Workshops

    Kids Rock and Young Senders. 
    These 4-week-long after-school classes give kids ages 6 to 14 the opportunity to develop their climbing skill and technique under the guidance of a coach. Curriculum includes footwork, body positioning, and problem solving. These objectives are accomplished through lots of fun skill-building activities, games, and challenges. Practices will include climbing, both in a harness and on the boulder, as well as off-the-wall activities and light fitness-building exercises and stretching. The coaching staff at High Steppe will create a safe and fun environment where students can develop their skills at their own pace. The coaches tailor activities to challenge each participant at their own level. Practices are held twice a week for one hour. Harness and climbing shoe rental are included in the cost of the course. Registration: Fall classes open September 1. Winter classes open December 1. Spring classes open March 1. $99 Members, $109 Non-members.
