Sleeping Dog Wines will greet 2021 wine tasters starting the first weekend in April, open Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 11:00 to 5:00 p.m. Because we don’t want to encourage irresponsible overcrowding, we will have “Barrel Tasting” available throughout the month, with tastes of our 2019 Sirius, port-style wine; one version bottled in 2020 and the other still working on its identity in the tank. We also are offering 30% off on case purchases, including our recently Double-Platinum awarded 2009 Syrah and Platinum 2015 Carménère!
Tasting
is outdoors at picnic tables in our yard overlooking the Yakima River. We do
have limited, heated space available in case of inclement weather; reservations
are recommended! Wines are also available for curbside pickup or shipping.

So what do we have in store for this year's Spring Barrel Tasting event? Dare we tempt fate with a reveal? We are doing Spring
Barrel a little different this year and we are excited for the new format.
Barrel tasting in its previous style doesn't work for this year so the Zillah
area wineries are having Spring Wine Release weekends April 17-18 and April 24-25. The area wineries will be highlighting their recent wine releases and
offering special discounts. Watch for emails and facebook posts with more
information.
In addition, we have
worked together with Dineen Vineyards and Two Mountain Winery to create the
Inside the Barrel Workshop. It is an in depth, sit
down experience at each of the wineries with their winemakers where you can
taste from the barrels and listen to the winemakers' discuss many aspects about
wine barrels. There are several sessions throughout the two Spring Wine Release
weekends and you can sign up at any of the participating wineries.
The cost is $45/person
with a limit of 20 people per session. Tickets and more details are available
