*Fresh Hop Releases at Bale Breaker Brewing Company

Fresh Hop Ale Releases at Bale Breaker Brewing Company! Bale Breaker Brewing takes ?fresh hops? to another level. Located right on their fourth generation hop farm, they can proudly state that it takes only four minutes for hops to travel from the picking machine in the field to the brewery kettle where they expertly craft the freshest of fresh hop ales. Bale Breaker will be brewing and releasing 16 total fresh hop brews on tap all throughout the month of harvest. Check out their scheduled releases throughout hop harvest season:
September 6th: Hazy IPA Rotator Series-Prepare for an out-of-this-world experience with the second release in our Hazy IPA Rotator Series. Introducing Haze Harvester Fresh Hop Hazy IPA: a vibrant and bold creation. This brew features our homegrown Citra?, Simcoe?, and Sabro? hops, with an infusion of freshly harvested Strata. Bright aromatics of grapefruit, peach, berries, and coconut will transport your taste buds to new dimensions.
September 24: Green Rush Fresh Hop IPA-Every September brings the Green Rush: the annual influx of brewers and beer lovers to the Yakima Valley to search out the best fresh hops. We?ve got a front row seat from our family hop farm, and this year, we?ve again partnered with the legendary Russian River to create a fresh hop IPA that tastes like striking gold ? fresh hop gold, that is. This fresh hop West Coast IPA features freshly picked homegrown Simcoe? hops for vibrant aromas of grapefruit, peach, mango, and resin.
October 3rd: Citra Slicker Wet Hop IPA-Each hop harvest, the big city brewers from Cloudburst Brewing make the trek from downtown Seattle over the Cascades to team up with the farm brewers from Bale Breaker to brew Citra? Slicker Wet Hop IPA, a fresh hop beer that was first brewed in 2014 with then-owner of Elysian Brewing, Dick Cantwell. While it takes the Cloudburst team over two hours to get to Bale Breaker, the hundreds of pounds of wet Citra? hops picked fresh from the fields travel just four minutes from farm to kettle. Heavily dry-hopped, while light in color and body, this beer is all about these fresh, farm-grown hops!

Released September 17th: Skyfinder is a Fresh Hop Hazy IPA is an annual feature of Strata & Simcoe, piled sky high. This year's edition was brewed with fresh, wet Roy Farms Strata and Loftus Ranches Simcoe, and dry hopped with freshly dried Roy Strata & Black Star Ranch Simcoe.
Released September 13th: Fresh Luck is a melting pot of fresh hops, brought to us by our generous friends and colleagues. In this super-saturated, hazy brew you can find fresh, wet Hopsteiner Alora, Virgil Gamache Farms Amarillo, Loftus Ranches & Coleman Hops Simcoe, Carpenter Ranches & John. I Haas Sabro, Roy Farms ADHA 218, and CLS Farms Zappa.
Released September 11th: Northern Danger is a Fresh Hop IPA that we brewed with our new friends at Jackknife Brewing and Land & Sea Brewing, both in BC, Canada. Northern Danger started with fresh, wet Roy Farms Centennial and C&C Hop Farms Simcoe and then was dry hopped with Fresh AF C&C Centennial, Loftus Ranches Simcoe, and Van Horn Farms Cascade.

Toyota Concert Series will feature a new entertainment format this year that will showcase some of the best Tribute Bands in the Country to entertain fairgoers and will be Free with Fair admission. The Corona Corral & Bar is designated for 21 and over; a family friendly concert section is also available. A VIP package will be available for $35 which includes Fair admission. Crush for Cancer 2nd Annual Fundraiser benefiting North Star Lodge of the Memorial Foundation, September 21st from 11am - 8pm. Cancer continues to be a ubiquitous disease that affects more than the person afflicted. After winning their battle, the Whitmans felt compelled to help others who face cancer by supporting initiatives that provide the latest technologies, therapies, and treatments related to cancer care.
Knowing that no one fights this battle alone, we are honored to partner with North Star Lodge of the Memorial Foundation to raise money for their efforts of facilitating patient care. Thirty percent of wine bottle purchases during the week of September 16th through September 22nd, both online and in the tasting room, will be directly contributed toward North Star Lodge. Whitman Hill is also hosting an intimate coursed wine dinner the evening of Friday the 20th. Crush for Cancer culminates in the main event on Saturday, September 21st with many opportunities to donate and contribute to the cause, such as a floating luminary memorial and a special wine label series. This year, we are proud to feature The Real Food Dude food truck, a dessert bar from The Quirky Spatula, an old-world grape stomp, condensed vineyard tours highlighting the harvest season, a raffle with amazing prizes, and lawn games. Michael Powers will display his musical prowess from 1pm - 4pm, performing blues-inspired music with the guitar as a focal point. We encourage donations for all provided activities and entertainment throughout the day, payable at the tasting room bar. We have invited back KCJ Jazz Company for a free evening performance from 5:30pm - 8pm when the dedication ceremony will occur on Whitman Pond.
