Larson Gallery Guild Members' Exhibition Showing: June 8th - 24th & Opening Reception: June 8th | 5 PM - 7 PM
This annual non-juried exhibition highlights the creativity of the members of the Larson Gallery Guild. The Larson Gallery Guild consists of approximately 350 members and in 2022, this exhibition had around 100 entries. Since Guild members can only exhibit one piece in the exhibit, members are very selective about their work and choose their best piece. What makes this exhibit special is its variety of media. Many artists use this time to explore and exhibit the result of a new process. larsongallery.org

?I try to take things I love and use them in a new way,? said triple Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Peter Case of his 16th solo album Doctor Moan. Case brings his considerable songwriting ability to an 11-song collection, largely performed on piano, including his first solo recorded instrumental. Released by Sunset Blvd Records on March 31, Case?s piano-based songs are emotionally, sonically and stylistically rich. As a founding member of the early punk era trio The Nerves, in 1977 Case toured the nation sharing bills with the Ramones, Mink DeVille, Pere Ubu, and Devo. The Nerves single ?Hanging on the Telephone,? was covered by Blondie. In 1979, Case formed the Plimsouls, a record-breaking live act in California, recording albums for Planet/Elektra and Geffen. Their independent single, ?A Million Miles Away,? entered the Billboard charts and remains a garage rock standard, performed by bands around the world. The band performed in the cult classic film Valley Girl and the Nerves and Plimsouls timeless teenage rock ?n? roll continues to appeal to fans of each new generation. After the Plimsouls, Case rediscovered his musical roots on his self-titled solo debut, produced by T Bone Burnett. The New York Times declared Peter Case the best album of 1986. It earned a five-star Rolling Stone review and a Grammy nomination. As one of the first songwriters of his generation to turn from rock music toward an acoustic sound, Case also helped usher in what became known as Americana music.

Come to our farm and bring the family for a horse-drawn wagon ride through wine country. Our "gentle giants" draft horses love to take you through the vineyards and to pose with you and your family for photos afterwards. The wagon rides depart from our farm every half hour, taking you over gentle terrain through gorgeous vineyards. Even if you are not a wine-drinker, you'll love being amongst the vines and rolling hills.
Guides will tell you about the history of Red Mountain, the vineyards, and the horses. Return to our farm to enjoy a picnic, wine flight, and fire pit, or snuggle our adorable goats (we start baby-watch in June!). We have a cozy "gift barn" with goat milk soaps and goodies, photo notecards featuring our farm animals, and loads of fun items. We are located on Red Mountain in Benton City, just a few minutes from the Tri-Cities.
Wagon rides are available by reservation at redmountaintrails.com/reservations
Rides last about 25 minutes. You may get lucky if you walk up without a reservation, but we won't guarantee the horses will be harnessed and hitched without a reservation. We are a small, family-owned business that loves to share the beauty of Red Mountain and our cherished horses and goats with guests.

Like pieces in a puzzle, each shape of color is analyzed and understood as it relates to the composition at large. This method, which she calls ?Color Poetics?. Color Poetics is a lexicon, an architecture, by which to begin creating unique and powerful visual poetry. The works on view are Trowbridge?s pedagogical studies and demonstrations from her painting program.

The Baughman family has been through it all in the past few
years. You all have been there for us when times were tough, now it is our turn
to give back. We will be hosting a fundraising event for the Baughman Family,
Saturday, June 10th. Let?s show up for this local family, and come together
when community support is needed most.
Danielle was diagnosed with breast cancer December 27th
2021, on her 31st birthday, at 29 weeks pregnant. She began chemotherapy
shortly after. Six months later, she was considered NED (no evidence of
disease). In March of 2023, Danielle was driving with her boys and experienced
a massive seizure leading to a serious car accident. After the accident, it was
determined the cancer that was believed to be gone had spread to her brain. She
is now undergoing treatment for brain cancer. Danielle and her family need the
support of their community now more than ever.
Please join us Saturday, June 10th

Women's Concealed Carry Level I - In spite of the
fact that Washington State has no education requirement for a Concealed Pistol
Permit, our Women's Concealed Carry Class is a MUST for women wanting
to know the laws and rules regarding Concealed Carry in this state. What
are the dangers and considerations of carrying a concealed weapon? Where is it
still unlawful for a CPP holder to have a firearm? This class is
specifically designed for Ladies Only.
Objectives:
Review of Safe Gun Handling Skills
Learn about Washington State Law regarding Self Defense and
Justifiable Homicide
Where you can and cannot carry a concealed pistol in
Washington State
Deadly Force/Armed Self-Defense Mindset
Situation Awareness and Conflict Avoidance
Dealing with the police both before and after a
self-defense incident
Holster options, with women's needs in mind
A Live-Fire portion in our climate-controlled indoor range
to practice these skills
Women's General Concealed Carry Level II - The General
Concealed Carry Level II class starts off where level I ended. The first
30 minutes will be a refresher of the fundamentals learned in lesson 1 with a
higher focus on Drawing from a holster and tactical movement. Students will
draw their firearm from the holster during level II, so students need
to bring a holster with their firearm. Shooters will be
challenged with drills to better understand situations they may encounter
during real life events. Students will have the opportunity to run their selected
self-defense ammunition through their firearm. This class is designed for the
shooter who has their shooting foundation established in our other Basic
classes, and have made the decision to carry on a daily basis.
Objectives:
Firearms Safety and review of marksmanship
Drawing and re-holstering using a concealment holster
Tactical movement during gunfight

Smokey Brights - June 16th @ 7pm - 9:30pm
Smokey Brights is a story of love and pizza. Husband and
wife duo Ryan Devlin and Kim West first met slinging pies at a south Seattle
restaurant in their early 20s. Devlin, a fixture in the Northwest?s DIY rock
scene, and West, an aspiring law student, started writing and recording songs
in Devlin?s bedroom during a cash-strapped Christmas as their friendship
blossomed into romance. Pulling from their mutual love of 70s rock, vintage
synthesizers, thrift store treasures, and early MYV, the pair?s bond permeated
their songcraft.
The duo, joined by drummer Nick Krivchenia and bassist Luke Ragnar, create a stoney blend of Northwest rock & roll and razor-sharp disco grooves that Impose Magazine calls ?a modern bit of AM radio gold.? brewminatti.com/events

Can you believe it?s been 5 years? When we opened our doors back in 2018, we had a goal to serve three communities: our coworkers, our Yakima community, and the brewing industry as whole. With countless pints of beer poured, dozens of local non-profits featured at our ?Beer Grows Community? days, a surprise start to canning in 2020, and the passionate, hard work of our team, we?re looking back on the last 5 years feeling pretty good about where we?re at.
Let?s celebrate! Join us on June 17th for a day of fun. We?ll have live music, great food, and cold beer. (Also Face Painting & Shave Ice. After all, it is a family affair. And coffee. And live screen printing. Okay, we'll stop adding things. Maybe.) Starts at 11am . singlehillbrewing.com

Made up of bassist Andrew Jones, drummer Matt Mayhall, and saxophonist Logan Strosahl, kinetic chemistry abounds in this Portland based trio. Each of these highly individual artists find their own ground for expression in music, some of it Strosahl's own, oriented around different grooves such as a Turkish usul in 5/8, an Argentinian Chacarera, and a baroque Courante. This trio promises an evening of structured improvisation crafted around the push and pull between independence and interdependence.
