In the Historic District of Downtown Yakima, is the Historic Lund Building, where you can spend your nights in your own Al Capone era boxing club. Created to be a private gym, it is done in mahogany and white tile.
This experience lets you live for a while in the 1920s and 30s when boxing was a national pastime. Neighborhoods and towns competed against each other by sending their toughest guys to fight each other. It was a heady time in America with prohibition, speakeasies, flappers and girls swim suits that were just above the knees.
The Lund Building is the cornerstone of Yakima's historic district, built in 1899 and located at the corner of Yakima Avenue and North Front Street.
