    The Grass Roots: For over six years, The Grass Roots were a dominant force on the AM radio, setting a record by being on the Billboard charts for 307 consecutive weeks. In the entire history of Rock n’ Roll, only 9 bands (including The Beatles) have charted more hits on Billboard’s Hot 100 than The Grass Roots. The Grass Roots are Dusty Hanvey (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Larry Nelson (Keyboards, Vocals), Joe Dougherty (Drums), Mark Dawson (Lead Vocals, Bass).     The Buckinghams: Hailing from Chicago, The Buckinghams defined the "horn-rock" sound that became a hallmark of the late '60s.
