Area Events < Cowiche Canyon Conservancy Presents: Images of the Shrub-Steppe Art Exhibit
Cowiche Canyon Conservancy and the Boxx Gallery are excited to announce the seventh annual Images of the Shrub-Steppe, a juried art exhibit featuring a diversity of visual art inspired by the shrub-steppe, our unique ecosystem in the Yakima Valley. The exhibit features a wide range of media including painting, photography, collage, sculpture, and more.
September 1st at 5pm: Artists? Reception. The Juror?s Award and CCC?s Director?s Award will be presented to artists at 6pm.
September 9th at 5pm: Cy Philbrick (Cowiche Canyon Conservancy) will give a short talk, ?Beyond Eyes: Exploring Animal Senses in Shrub-Steppe.?
September 30th at 5pm: Featured artists - Betsy Bloomfield, and Ana Li Gresham and Doug Lewis (Juror?s Award Winner for their piece ?The Waning of the Pygmy Rabbit?) - will give an ?Art Talk? on the processes, stories, and inspiration behind their work. cowichecanyon.org/outings-events/#ImagesShrubSteppe
