2019 Cinco De Mayo Celebration in Downtown Yakima

The HCC Cinco de Mayo Planning Committee has started planning for the 2019 Cinco de Mayo Cultural Fiesta set for Saturday May 4th & Sunday & May 5th in Downtown Yakima.
 
One of the important actions is the recruitment  of  candidates for the Ms. Cinco Scholarships. This is not a beauty pageant and the winners are selected based on scholastic ability, community involvement and leadership to serve as a role model for young women. The young ladies will be taken on a journey to learn about local, state & federal government, public speaking, professional relationship building and so much more.

​One of the biggest attraction is the Charro Parade that includes groups of Charros representing different regions of Mexico with their beautiful attire, and Mexican cowboys with prancing horses that compete at the end of the parade. Any group or persons interested in participating in the parade can sign up at no cost.
 
The biggest car show in Eastern WA takes place on Sunday May 5 from 10 am to 5 pm Rollerz Only Car Club are the coordinators of the car show. Anyone interested can call the office for committee meeting information.
