After phenomenal success and growth the first four\nyears, this year\u2019s festival promises to be even better. In 2023, the festival\ndrew nearly 4,000 people to the new location at State Fair Park. After all,\nwhat\u2019s better than tacos, live music, craft beverages and cultural traditions?&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a delicious day filled with tacos from all\nthe locals\u2019 favorite vendors, as well as an array of other foods and drinks.\nAlong with traditional and fusion tacos, enjoy local craft beer, wine, cider and signature cocktails. It\u2019s also a day\nto dance to the rhythms of Latin music and enjoy traditional performances, art\ndisplays, and artisan goods in the mercado. Most importantly, it\u2019s a day to\nbring the valley\u2019s diverse community together and give recognition to local,\nsmall businesses and the region\u2019s agricultural workers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yakima Taco Fest is hosted by the Central Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (CWHCC). The event was inspired by the desire to bring the community together through food and music while appreciating our region\u2019s cultural diversity. Vibrant cultural\ntraditions fill the small town for one of the Northwest\u2019s largest celebrations\nof Hispanic culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While not widely celebrated\nin Mexico, in the United States celebrations both big and small abound on this\nday honoring Mexican culture and heritage. In the small town of Sunnyside,\nCinco de Mayo brings together people of all backgrounds to celebrate the rich\ntraditions and cultural roots of many who call it home.&nbsp; Over the span of the weekend, <strong>May 3 to 5<\/strong>,\nthousands of people will come from across the region to take part in the\nfestivities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The annual parade is a\nfestival highlight, including traditional Mexican dancers in vibrant colors and\nfestive, traditional dress. In Central Park, sample traditional Mexican flavors\nwith tacos, tamales, churros and more. Take in cultural performances throughout\neach day showcasing traditional dances, music and attire that give visitors a\nglimpse into the rich history and traditions of Mexico. The charro, or dancing\nhorses, competition is another special highlight. A car show opens the day on\nSaturday and the rhythms of traditional and contemporary Latin music fill the\ndays and evenings.
