In fact, the Valley is home to\nupwards of 70,000 acres of orchards \u2013 all of which, will bloom during a brief\nwindow starting <em>now<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Touring Trees in Bloom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mother Nature is in charge when it comes to bloom times.\nJust like different fruits are ready to pick at different times in the season,\nvarious types of fruit trees bloom at different times over the course of\nseveral weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wondering when to go? The answer is now! Apricot orchards\nare well into bloom already, with cherries likely beginning the first week of\nApril and apples just behind. So, don\u2019t wait to take a trip. Bloom time is\nbrief and will be over before you know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Please don\u2019t pick!<\/em><\/strong> Tree fruit blossoms become\nthe farmer\u2019s crop. Breaking off branches (even tiny twigs) injures the trees.\nTake plenty pictures, but don\u2019t take home blooming \u201csouvenirs.\u201d Most Yakima\nValley orchards in bloom are best viewed from the road or from picturesque\nstops below. Please only enter orchards when granted explicit permission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Top Stops for Blossoms<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chukar.com\/blossom-tour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Cherry Blossom Driving Tour at Chukar Cherries<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 If you love the delectable dried cherry and chocolate creations from Chukar Cherries, you won\u2019t want to miss this scenic, self-guided tour of surrounding orchards, beginning at Chukar headquarters in Prosser. Download a map or pick one up in person while you enjoy complementary samples of their cherry treats. In addition to orchards in bloom, you\u2019ll see sweeping agricultural landscapes and views of Mt. Adams in the distance. At <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.owenroe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Owen Roe Estates<\/a><\/strong>, enjoy tastings right in the production facility and then take in the views from the expansive lawn. Sip flights of sparkling wines on the picturesque patio at <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.trevericellars.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Treveri Cellars<\/a><\/strong>, Washington\u2019s first sparkling wine house. Enoy an afternoon at <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.freehandcellars.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Freehand Cellars<\/a><\/strong>, with pours of single-varietal wines and delicious bites from the kitchen on the deck or picnic tables in the lawn surrounded by apricot and apple orchards. Just off of Highway 12, drive up&nbsp; the winding hills of Naches Heights Road and then throughout the endless orchards of Naches Heights. Stop to spend an afternoon on the deck of the vintage farmhouse tasting room at <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wilridgewinery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wilridge Vineyard, Winery &amp; Distillery<\/a><\/strong>. Surrounded by orchards and their estate vineyards, the wide-open lawn and picnic tables are made for leisurely afternoons. From there, take Naches-Tieton Road or Schuler Grade and descend to the Valley floor. His tours can include stops at Wilridge Vineyard, Winery &amp; Distillery, DoodleVines Winery and even <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cowichecreekbrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Cowiche Creek Brewing<\/a><\/strong>, where you\u2019ll find (you guessed it) more orchard views. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Take a Hike for Blossoms from\nAbove<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For even more expansive views of the Valley, take a high to the top of <strong>Ahtanum Ridge<\/strong>. The trail starts at Union Gap\u2019s Central Washington Agricultural Museum and Fulbright Park.
