Provisions Restaurant + Market
A Provisions experience is marked as much by the great people that make up their team as by the delicious menu of elevated casual favorites and seasonal specialties. In addition to their lively, contemporary indoor spaces, they have two lovely patios to enjoy in our warmer months. The recently added outdoor space, The Coop, is surrounded by fruit bins as a nod to the Yakima Valley’s ag roots. Keep an eye on their live music lineup beginning in the summer. Leave time to browse the market for artisan foods, décor, gifts, wine and more.
Happy Hour Details: Come for happy hour Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3 to 5:30 pm and enjoy all-day happy hour on Wednesdays.
What to Have: In addition to their happy hour wine, beer and cocktail specials, their bites menu is loaded with locals’ favorites, including house-made corn dogs, street tacos (including a cauliflower version), barbecue pork sliders, teriyaki meatballs and loaded fries.
Public House of Yakima – East and West Locations
Public House of Yakima has become a mainstay of places to gather and raise a pint or two with friends at their original “West” location. First opened in a lovingly restored, historic craftsman house, it quickly grew to be a hot spot and they built and then expanded an outstanding outdoor space that now boasts covered seating, outdoor taps, bocce ball and more. Their second location recently opened on the east side of town with just as much fun to be had, and even more indoor space for happy hour gatherings.
Happy Hour Details: Enjoy happy hour pricing from 2:30 to 5:30 pm every Monday through Friday, including $1 off all pints and food items.
What to Have: With 120 taps at two locations your choices for craft beer feel endless. You can also enjoy local wines and ciders. Food favorites include their house-made flatbreads just made to pair with local craft brews and, of course, their signature Bavarian pretzels with beer mustard and cheese.
Terra Blanca Winery and Estate Vineyard
Take in the beautiful setting at Terra Blanca on the Southwest slope of Red Mountain. Enjoy Tuscan-inspired architecture, beautiful grounds, panoramic views, exceptional wines and a variety of house specialties from the Vineyard Grill.
Happy Hour Details: Kick the weekend off early with happy hour every Thursday from 5 to 9 pm with $8 glass pour specials and delicious food from Winery Executive Chef Jim Vande Berg and his talented culinary team. In addition to the complete Red Mountain estate-produced wine list, they offer beer and cider on tap, games and a selection of delectable menu items to savor. Reservations are available, but walk-ins are more than welcome. All ages.
What to Have: Order from their rotating happy hour menu featuring a selection of delicious foods to pair with their wines. Find flatbreads, roasted fingerling “jo-jos,” seasonal soups, other small bites and sweet treats.
The Kiln Taproom
Located in the heart of west Yakima, The Kiln was created by a team with a love of good beer and wine and with strong ties to local agriculture and the valley’s hop industry. They feature 30 taps of premium Pacific Northwest beer and wine where everyone is welcome to their family-friendly space that includes a kid’s corner inside, an indoor/outdoor fireplace and their ½-acre yard with its unique “beer berm” for basking in the Yakima sun. Savor a menu of artisan pizza, sandwiches, salads and unique small bites.
Happy Hour Details: They invite you to join them for “the happiest hours,” Monday through Thursday from 3 to 5 pm, including $1.50 off ALL taps along with a “happy hour ONLY” menu.
What to have: The happy hour menu includes delicious bites such as garlic parm spuds, personal pizza, pork verde tacos, cheese quesadilla, parmesan bread bites and chips with salsa verde.
WaterFire Restaurant & Bar
WaterFire is a family-owned and operated restaurant that opened in 2018 after years of dreaming and planning. Chef Derrin Davis grew up in the Yakima Valley and, after working at restaurants throughout the U.S., he came home to celebrate the flavors of the Northwest. Sourcing from local and regional farms and ranches, he specializes in premium steaks and seafood, as well creative, casual favorites.
Happy Hour Details: Stop by for happy hour in the bar and on the patio (weather permitting) Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 5 pm and all day on Wednesday. Enjoy draft beer, wine and well drink specials and a dedicated happy hour menu.
