Sip & Stroll – A Craft Beverage Walk in Downtown Yakima

It’s time to sip and stroll in Downtown Yakima! This Saturday, November 9, spend your afternoon enjoying signature craft beverages from some of the Yakima Valley’s great producers and explore unique businesses in Downtown Yakima. The 5th Annual Sip & Stroll, formerly the Craft Beverage Walk, is brought to us by the Downtown Association of Yakima and Drink Yakima. This is your chance to sip your favorite craft beverages and experience some new ones, all in an afternoon within an easy stroll! Afterward, take advantage of special offerings just for Sip & Stroll participants at Downtown restaurants.

Check out the map on the Downtown Association of Yakima’s Facebook page to plan your afternoon. Begin your sipping adventure at the check in point at 16 N 3rd Street from noon to 4:30 pm to pick up your wristband and glass and purchase scrip. Choose your strolling route to enjoy craft beer, wine, cider and spirits tastings offered by 14 local craft beverage producers, all within walking distance of each other! Each of them will be pouring at a Downtown business partner where you can find activities, entertainment and tasty treats.

Not only that, five Downtown restaurants will offer special promotions just for Sip & Strollers! Be sure to wear your Sip & Stroll wristband and visit after 5 pm, when you’ve completed your sipping and strolling. With your Sip & Stroll wristband, receive 15% off at The Sports Center and 10% off at Norm’s of Yakima. Carousel Restaurant and Bistro will be giving away gift cards at Wildjay, from $5 to $25, to be redeemed after you sip and stroll. Yakima Steak Company is offering $5 off any dinner entrée, $1 off all beverages and waived corkage fees. Second Street Grill and Cowiche Canyon Kitchen & Icehouse Bar are also offering specials.

There are only 1,400 tickets available for the event, this Saturday, November 9, from noon to 5 pm. For only $20 you’ll receive a commemorative glass and five scrip for sampling beverages. Additional scrip is available for purchase at $2 per taste at MAK Daddy Coffee, Collab Coffee, Stems and Kameo. This is a 21+ event, so bring your ID.

Bale Breaker Brewing at Day Spa Academy – Enjoy Bale Breaker brews andcomplimentary 15-minute massages at the Academy which prepares students for success in health and beauty careers, helping them become skilled, care-centered clinicians.

Bron Yr Aur Brewing at Hotel Maison – Enjoy a glimpse of history, elegance, and a bit of intrigue while you taste Bron Yr Aur’s Beaver Deceiver Cream Ale and Thriller Pillar Porter. Snack on appetizers from Hilton Garden Grill, view the art gallery and take advantage of specials on hotel gift certificates. If you haven’t had a chance to see the beautiful restoration of this historic structure now fully appreciated once again, this is your chance.

Cowiche Creek Brewing at MAK Daddy Coffee Roasters – Enjoy pours from Cowiche Creek Brewing and listen to guitar and vocals from Rob David. A specialty chocolatier will also create unique dessert treats just for the event! MAK daddy is locally owned and operated in the Yakima Valley and known for its uniquely crafted, single origin coffee roasts.

Kana Winery at Stems – Sip on Kana wines and enjoy small snacks at Yakima’s premier wine, gift and necessities one-stop-shop in downtown Yakima. Check out their local, Northwest wines curated by a home grown proprietor with excellent knowledge of wine and the Yakima Valley. Palmer Wright owner of Kana Winery, will be pouring 2 red wines and 1 white wine. Katherine the General Manager will be showing how to create a lovely bow for the holidays!

Gilbert Cellars at Wildjay Boutique: Sip your favorite Gilbert Cellars wines and enjoy delicious bites from Carousel Restaurant and Bistro. Don’t miss their fun give away of Carousel gift cards from $5 to $25! Wilridge Vineyard, Winery and Distillery at Adore Décor – In addition to Wilridge wines, this is the first time ever that they’ll be pouring their brandy at a tasting event!
