Events are Back On!

June 16, 2021

Plan your trip and mark your calendar for summer events

Events are back on the calendar all around the Yakima Valley. Have you been missing them as much as we have? From craft beer, live music and wine to fantastic food, we’re thrilled to find many of our favorites happening once again! Here are just a few.

Weinfest at Treveri Cellars

Join the makers at Treveri Cellars July 10 and 11 as they celebrate their German heritage! Grab your tickets for Weinfest and enjoy German eats and treats, chilled bubbles, German wines and traditional music. Please be aware, visiting the winery this weekend requires a Weinfest ticket, which can be purchased at the door or ahead of time for $10.

Selah Ridge Lavender Festival

The Selah Ridge Lavender Festival is back on this year from July 9 to 11! Shop artisan goods from vendors, as well as Selah Ridge Lavender Farm’s soaps, lotion, oils, scrubs and our wonderful lavender face care line. All products handmade with care at the farm. You’ll find fresh and dried bouquets, lavender oil distilling demonstration, make your own beautiful, fresh lavender wreath to take home.

While you’re there, cut your own lavender bouquet and take home plants for your garden. Breathe in lavender’s heavenly aroma and listen to the sound of the big, fat, humming bees busy at work.

Lavender Daze at J. Bell Cellars

J.Bell Cellars is more than a winery. It’s surrounded by a lush, fragrant lavender field that helps create the soaps, salts, lotions, candles and essential oils folks have come to love. Join them July 7 to 11 to celebrate all things lavender during Lavender Daze. This family friendly weekend includes artisan vendors, u-pick and precut lavender, lavender cooking demos with Il Grasso restaurant, lavender goodies and self care, kids games and activities.

Fresh Hop Ale Festival

Yakima is home to the signature, can’t miss, Fresh Hop Ale Festival the first weekend in October. What exactly makes Yakima’s Fresh Hop Ale Festival different from other beer festivals? Well, we grow your beer right here in the Yakima Valley, harvesting 75% of the nation’s hops in what is one of the most important hop growing regions in the world. Every single hop cone in the Valley gets harvested and processed over the span of 30 crazy days every September. It all culminates with Yakima’s Fresh Hop Ale Festival, one of the “Top 10 Beer Festivals in The Nation!” You’ll find more than 60 brewers from around the U.S. competing with fresh hop ales crafted specifically for the festival using only freshly harvested hops. Come on down for great beer, live music, food and fun! Don’t miss all the new fresh hop release parties on the Yakima Valley Craft Beer Trail and brewery events during Fresh Hop Beer Week.

Chinook Fest

It’s hard to think of a more beautiful location for a festival than you’ll find at Chinook Fest September 10 to 12. The lovely riverside mountain setting is where fantastic music, craft beverages and food meet the great outdoors! Unplug for a weekend of music, camping, local craft beer, wine, food and artisans. Enjoy some of the best national and regional Americana, Roots Rock and Outlaw Country artists in our little riverside oasis in the PNW each year at Jim Sprick Community Park, just 30 miles West of Yakima, WA on scenic Chinook Pass!

Yakima Taco Fest

What goes better with Yakima Valley craft beers than tacos? Yakima Taco Fest is a taco lover’s dream. Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month on September 12, the delicious festival brings people together to taste fusion and traditional tacos from a variety of vendors, sip local craft beverages and dance to the sweet rhythm of Latin music.

Of course, there’s more to hop country than festivals! Yakima Valley breweries keep full calendar of special events for craft beer lovers. Find live music, local food vendors, bingo, trivia, movie and game nights and even ax throwing and yoga at local breweries throughout the Valley.
