Gasperettis Restaurant Hidden at the back of the restaurant is an intimate spot for a quiet lunch or dinner in a quaint, enclosed courtyard.This iconic restaurant has been in the valley since 1943, serving the family’s “secret” Italian recipes with menus that reflect the bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables available in the Yakima Valley. Locals love the Thursday only special Crab Cannelloni. Gasperetti’s is proudly known for the “Happiest Happy Hour” in town Tuesday through Saturday from 2 to 6 pm.
McGuire’s Irish Pub Enjoy this secluded outdoor patio under the shade of an umbrella by the water fountain, surrounded by greenery at this family-owned restaurant and bar. Order one of the made-from-scratch specials offered daily. Try the homemade clam chowder and 10 ounce prime rib special on Friday. Provisions Restaurant & Market This Terrace Heights restaurant opened in December 2017 offering chef-driven, Pacific Northwest inspired scratch recipes. The chef changes the overall menu seasonally and has new lunch and dinner fresh sheet bi-monthly. Stay for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch in the sleek, outside courtyard. Waterfire Restaurant & Bar For an inviting dining experience, enjoy glimpses of the hills surrounding Yakima from this large, private courtyard with landscaped greenery and fire feature. Canyon River Grill Dine at the only restaurant in the Yakima River Canyon, just feet from the Yakima River. The large wooden deck, covered with shade sails, is on the second story of the building, affording picturesque views of Yakima River, boat launch and dramatic canyon walls. Sharing the building with Red’s Fly Shop, the Canyon River Grill serves a wide range of dishes, ranging from gourmet to classic. Check for special live music events.

Yakima Sports Center Enjoy sidewalk dining under the iconic neon sign with the revolving hunter in the center of Downtown Yakima and feel the downtown vibe. Check out the late night music, watch your favorite sports team and order from an eclectic menu. Try the best nachos in town or their “life changing” pork shank. This isn’t your normal bar food. Kids are welcome until 9 pm.
Yakima Steak Company Find shady sidewalk dining at Yakima’s premiere steak house. If you’re in the mood for something other than steak, ttry the house dishes such as lamb, pork chops or a variety of seafood. Find happy hour specials 3 pm to 7 pm Monday through Friday, from 12 pm to 6 pm Saturday and all day Sunday. They’re open seven days a week, serving breakfast on Saturday and Sunday at 9 am.
Zesta Cucina This restaurant is located in a beautifully refurbished fruit warehouse built in 1910, complete with original brick walls, hardwood floors and rough timber beams. Sit on the outside wooden deck under beautiful flowering hanging baskets. Dine on seasonal menus that include locally grown, organic produce, tasty creative pasta dishes, delectable chicken, seafood and mouth-watering steaks. For something lighter, visit during the popular happy hour, Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
NorthTown Coffeehouse is located in the historic 1911 Train Depot in Downtown Yakima. Sit outside on the elevated sidewalk café in Downton Yakima’s historic Front Street district and take in the historic buildings and reconstructed brick streets while you enjoy your morning espresso and pastry or gelato, tea or specialty soda. There may even be a train passing by. Check for live music events and open mic night on Sundays. This is a great place to view the free Thursday evening, ‘Downtown Summer Nights” concerts in July and August.
