Touring and Tasting Behind the Scenes in Wine Country

July 24, 2019

August is Washington Wine Month! It’s the perfect time to sip under sunny skies in the Yakima Valley. Better yet, schedule a vineyard or winery tour and private tasting and explore behind the scenes in wine country.

Touring and tasting in Yakima Valley wine country takes you to the source, right where more than 50% of Washington’s wine grapes are grown. This is where you discover a farm to glass wine tasting experience. This is where you’re likely to find winemakers and growers ready to give you a warm welcome and share their passion and pride for the exceptional wines that come out of our beautiful corner of the world.

Several Yakima Valley wineries offer visitors you the chance to immerse yourself in the craft of growing wine grapes and making fine wines. Tour the vineyards and the wineries with the winemakers, owners or growers and learn all about how great wines are made or enjoy guided tasting and sensory tasting experiences. These are a few of the Yakima Valley wineries currently offering tours and tasting or educational experiences. Check our wine country events for new experiences throughout the season.
