Sunnyside
Visit Sunnyside and enjoy an unparalleled combination of sunshine, bountiful harvest, outdoor recreation, fine wines and great shopping.
Sunnyside is centrally located in the heart of farm country in Washington State. Driving from major cities of Seattle or Spokane, Washington or Portland, Oregon will take about three hours to reach the pastoral scenes of lush green hillsides, dotted with patchwork squares of vineyards, orchards and pasture lands.
You can enjoy a leisurely stroll through gift shops and parks. Sunnyside boasts a Thomas Kinkade Gallery, the only one of its kind within Central Washington; as well as Darigold’s state-of-the-art cheese factory, deli and gift shop. Dairy Fair Days are held in June to honor local dairies.
The first Saturday of December you can experience the nation's premiere Lighted Farm Implement Parade. Multitudes gather to enjoy floats and farm implements decorated with baubles and lights of every hue. Rise early and have breakfast with Santa, or a little later decorate cookies with Mrs. and Mrs. Claus at Dairy Fair. Before the parade starts, get into the Christmas spirit as the community gathers to sing Christmas carols and listen to the Christmas story as told by business owners, clergymen and war veterans.
