Agate Field Vineyard

Alexandria Nicole Cellars
2880 Lee Rd., Suite C, Prosser, WA 99350, (509) 786-3497
Destiny Ridge Vineyard 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon: This award-winning wine has a buttery, creamy softness that belies the usual hardness of Washington Cab. Excellent winemaking shows off not just the plum and cherry fruit, set against a thick wash of chocolaty oak, but also the firm acid and hints of citrus and earth that elevate the wine beyond the ordinary. – P.G.
Destiny Ridge Vineyard 2004 Destiny (Bdx blend): This award-winning wine introduces itself with a sweet and supple attack that invites further exploration. On to mixed tart and racy fruit flavors of blueberry and plum, pie cherry and more, all softly coddled with spicy, chocolatey oak. The blend is 59 percent cabernet, 17 percent merlot, 13 percent petit verdot, 8 percent malbec and 3 percent cab franc. This is the best wine Alexandria Nicole has yet produced from their Destiny Ridge vineyard. Hopefully, it will pave the way for more Washington-made Bordeaux blends to emulate this fruit-driven, well-balanced style. - P.G.

Syrah: Our Syrah is a combination of rich, dark berried fruit and co-fermentation with Viognier give the first impression of a slightly sweet wine, but on the finish you will see that this Syrah is a balanced wine that shows some coffee, meaty flavors and silky tannins that provide a long finish.

Piety Flats Winery
2560 Donald-Wapato Rd., Wapato, WA 98951, (509) 877-3115
NV Mercantile Red: A blend of Cabernet Franc (45%), Merlot (43%), & Syrah (12%). This Red Table wine starts off with just a touch of the earthy characteristics from the Cabernet Franc, in combination with the Syrah, followed by the smooth finish from the Merlot. With the sturdy and dusty tannins, we suggest a big steak or flavorful pasta dish to match with this wine.
2006 Carmenere: Much like merlot this grape is lower in tannins making for a smooth dinner wine. You will notice many different taste sensations from blackberry to many exotic flavors making it a wine that can match with a greater range of foods.
