2013 WIAA 1B,2B and 1A State High School Tennis Championships
Date: 5/24/2013 - 5/25/2013
Location: Yakima
The Yakima Valley will host the 2013 WIAA 1B, 2B and 1A State High School Tennis Championships on May 24th-25th. The tournament will be held at the Yakima Tennis Club's outdoor facility, located at 516 N. 35th Avenue, Yakima. This event will feature singles and doubles competition in both the boys and girls divisions. A total of 96 competitors will be participating.

WIAA 1A and 2A State High School Baseball Championships
Date: 5/24/2013 - 5/25/2013
Location: Yakima
The Yakima Valley will host the 2013 WIAA 1A and 2A State High School Baseball Championships on May 24th-25th. The tournament will be held at Yakima County Stadium, located on the grounds of State Fair Park, 1301 S. Fair Avenue, Yakima. The tournament will feature eight teams, four 1A and four 2A.

WIAA State 1B and 2B State High School Softball Championships

Location: Yakima
The Yakima Valley will host the 2013 WIAA 1B and 2B State Softball Championships on May 24th-25th. The tournaments will be held at the Gateway Sports Complex at Kiwanis, located at 405 S. Fair Avenue, Yakima. The tournament will feature 24 teams, eight in 1B and 16 in 2B.

WIAA 2A State High School Softball Championships

Location: Yakima
The Yakima Valley will host the 2013 WIAA 2A State Softball Championships on May 24th-25th. The tournament will be held at the Carlon Park Girls Fastpitch Complex, 300 E. Goodlander Road, Selah. This event will feature 16 teams.

26th Annual Yakima Memorial Day PLUS Weekend Square and Round Dance
Date: 5/24/2013 - 5/27/2013
Location: Yakima
On May 24-27, the 26th Annual Yakima Memorial Day Holiday PLUS Weekend will be held at the Yakima Valley Square and Round Dance Center at 207 East Charron Road in Moxee. This dance event will start on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. with Pre-Rounds. A PLUS Dance will follow. Saturday's workshops and dances run from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. On Sunday, workshops will begin at 1:00 p.m., and the day will conclude with a PLUS dance from 8:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. There will be a free breakfast for all participants on Monday from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Renegade Raceway - Dee Adams Memorial Fire and Thunder Weekend

Location: Wapato
On, May 24-26, Renegade Raceway will host the Dee Adams Memorial Fire and Thunder Weekend presented by Pepsi. Friday night features the Street Legal Drags and Nitro Funny Cars. Saturday evening is Summit Series Race #3, Nitro Funny Cars and the NW Nostalgia Tour. Sunday brings Summit Series Race #4, NW Nostalgia Tour and LOL #2. On Friday and Saturday, the gates open 6:00 p.m. with racing at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday, the gates will open at 9:00 a.m., and races will start at 1:00 p.m. Gen eral admission is $10 or $15 for featured shows. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.

Washington State Audubon Campout at Wenas Creek

Location: Selah
The 2013 50th Annual Washington State Audubon Campout at Wenas Creek will be held at the Hazel Wolf Bird Sanctuary and Wenas Creek Campground (aka Boise Cascade Campground). There will be several planned activities and hikes throughout the four days. In previous years as many as 200 birders and families have attended. Although the majority of the participants will camp, some hotel rooms will be utilized and the event website does list several lodging options, under "Camping".

Who would have guessed that Two Mountain Rose would pair so well with street tacos and sunshine. Celebrate the release of Two Mountain Rose and summertime in the valley, at out annual Rose Release Party.
