Washington state celebrates its centennial of permanent women's suffrage in 2009-2010. The Women's Votes, Women's Voices exhibit will highlight the history of the struggle to attain women's right to vote in Washington and illuminates how women's voting influenced territorial and state history. The exhibit is co-curated by the Washington State Historical Society, the Women's History Consortium, and the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture.
Admission to the museum is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, children 5 and under are free, families $12. The museum hours are 10am-5pm Monday through Saturday, 11am-5pm Sunday. For information, call 509-248-0747.

Women's Suffrage through Words and Music. Women in Washington State won the right to vote 100 years ago. Tonight, their struggles will be recreated through the movement's songs and readings that state arguments, both pro and con, made at the time. This memorable evening was generously funded by Humanities Washington and researched by YVCC Drs. Carli Schiffner and Timothy Jeske. This program was produced by the Yakima Valley Museum and Yakima Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are $35.

The Selah Tourism office invites you on a sightseeing adventure through the Yakima River Canyon in search of the area's native wildlife. We will be searching for bighorn sheep, mule deer, chukar partridge, bald eagles, red-tailed hawk, and the Rocky Mountain Elk.
On the way back to Selah, we will stop at the Canyon River Ranch for a great lunch and presentation on local fly fishing.

Film screening of Sugar (R) in the Peggy Lewis Gallery at Allied Arts Center. Sugar follows the story of Miguel "Sugar" Santos, a Dominican pitcher from San Pedro De Macoris, struggling to make it to the big leagues and pull himself and his family out of poverty.

The Seasons Performance Hall announces their three concert Latin music series, SABOR!, performed by some of the best Latin players in the Northwest providing a flavorful variety of Latin music from Latin Jazz to traditional South American folk music to Cuban ballads and more.
