Central Washington Agricultural Museum
In an effort to preserve the agricultural heritage of the Yakima Valley and Central Washington, the late Ted Falk first introduced the idea of a farm equipment museum to a small group of interested people in November 1978. The next year the Central Washington Agricultural Museum was founded on March 15, 1979, as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization governed by a Board of Directors with a volunteer staff.
Located in Union Gap Washington, at the base of Rattlesnake Ridge it's park like surroundings hold equipment and information including the Magness Room displaying over 3,000 antique hand tools, the steam engine used to power the old Naches sawmill, a collection of bells from the valley schools, a working sawmill, and the home of the Linderman Tractor. All of this and more has combined to create the Central Washington Agricultural Museum, the largest historical Museum in Motion in the Pacific Northwest. Visit centralwaagmuseum.org for more information.
