North Park Lodge

In many parts of Washington it's hard to enjoy outdoor recreation because of all the rain. But here in Selah, you'll discover how sunny Washington can be. North Park Lodge is conveniently located right off I-82 in the city of Selah, which makes us easy to find and easy to get to.

River and River Canyon Recreation

Selah is the entrance to the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway. This byway is 22 miles of highway winding through the Yakima River Canyon. Beautiful vistas, blue-ribbon fly fishing and wildlife such as moutain goats, eagles, hawks and a jumping fish every now and then make this byway a must-see.

The Yakima Greenway boasts ten miles of paved pathway, three parks, two fishing lakes, and four river access landings along with protected and natural areas. One of the river access landings is Harlan Landing located in Selah, WA.

Harlan Landing includes parking, boat ramp, picnic/barbeque facilities. Exit I-82 at Rest Haven Road, turn left (over freeway) to enter parking lot. The pathway leaves the south end of the parking lot and crosses the Yakima and Naches Rivers on footbridges attached to the highway bridges.

Agricultural Heritage

Wine Country is the buzz of the Yakima Valley these days but Selah's charming town is home to the Valley's long-time apple industry.

With 6 national food and juice corporations located in Selah, Washington, the agricultural heritage of the area is experienced through a stroll through an orchard, a family u-pick adventure, or a drive through this relaxed rural country setting.

Sports Facilities

The Carlon Baseball Park home to the Selah Vikings and the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak American Legion Baseball team. A quality facility that has been steadily improved, Carlon has hosted a variety of high school and American Legion tournaments. The facility is operated by the Selah School District. The Carlon Softball Fields are recognized as one of the finest fastpitch facilities in the state, and it also serves as the home complex for the Greater Yakima Girls Softball Association.
