The Seasons Music Festival
The Seasons Music Festival is a new addition to the local performing arts scene in downtown Yakima. The former church was built using 17th century Italian architectural designs. Its stained glass windows and high arching majestic ceiling provide the perfect ambiance for music and unparalleled natural acoustics. A full schedule of quality jazz and classical performances are a perfect compliment to your visit to the valley.
Historic District
While the City of Yakima has gone through many changes over the last 100 years, this area of Yakima known as the Old North Yakima National Historic District remains today much as it was long ago, waiting for discovery by adventurous souls. The recent renovations and improvements were based upon historic streetscape elements and reginal activities of the area.
Northern Pacific Railroad, having been denied its request for services in what is now the City of Union Gap, Washington, gave away land in what became North Yakima in the early 1880's. Many businesses moved to this area bringing both commerce and their buildings from their original location and created the new town of Yakima.
Take a step back into history with a stroll along the boardwalk of Track 29 and visit very unique shops located in authentic railroad cars. Visit the restored 1912 Northern Pacific Depot which houses boutique shops and attractions located on North Front Street.
