Thank You Yakima Valley! Nearly 400 Turn Out For National Stage
Thank you YakimaValley for embracing the true spirit and pride of Yakima at the live CBS' The Early Show LIVE broadcast at MillenniumPlaza on July 5th.
A crowd of approximately 400 gathered to welcome Dave Price, CBS' The Early Show at 4:00 a.m. to broadcast live to the East Coast. Yakima was showcased through its diversity, agricultural bounty, award winning wine industry and much more.
CBS producers raved at the spirit and uniqueness of our valley and thought the show was a complete success.
CBS chose Yakima as one of 16 cities in which to broadcast it's traveling Vacation Give-Away promotion awarding a deluxe Hawaiian vacation
to Yakima Police's own Joe Salinas and his family - a much deserved honor.
Cherry Wood B&B and Silver Lake Winery, two of the valley's many wonderful accommodations and wineries were visited by Dave Price in a feature story that aired during the live broadcast.
