Not Just a Farmer's Market
Location: Zillah
Krieger Park on First Ave.Zillah's harvest celebration, Not Just a Farmers Market, occurs annually the Saturday after Labor Day in downtown Zillah. Forty to sixty vendors sell local produce, wood furniture, arts and crafts, food, and many unique items. There is live entertainment all day long which varies from bands to dance groups. LiTFUSE Poetry Slam

Various locations in TietonPresented by Tieton Arts and Humanities, LiTFUSE is Tieton's annual weekend-long poets' workshop for poets of all ages, abilities, and styles. This year's faculty features Christopher Howell and three state poet laureates, including Washington State's newly appointed laureate Katherine Flenniken. This event is held at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse, Harvest Hall, Paper Hammer Studio, and Tieton City Park.

Pirate Plunnder Race
Location: Yakima
Pirate's Landing, Hwy 24 and S 22nd St The 2013 year marks the second installment of the Pirate Plunder Adventure Race which is a 4+ mile obstacle course race that combines ever-changing terrain with 15+ obstacles to test your strength, stamina, and love of mud. You’ll climb over walls up to 14’ high, crawl through a 40’ long mud pit, slide down a 30’ water slide, battle through tires, and face many other challenges all while running through a combination of fields, mud, and sand pits!
Once completed, participants are greeted with a cold beverage, live music, and great food! This race is a great way to get you, your friends, and family away from the TV, off the couch, and covered in mud, so come on out and see if you’re worthy of the name “Pirate” or are you just another “Scallywag” in line to “Walk the Plank”!
