Yakima Valley Wine Country

Auditions for the Winter Production of These Shining Lives at YVC

1/4/2018 - 1/5/2018

Location: Yakima

W Nob Hill Blvd & S 16th Ave

4-6pm- Yakima Valley College Playmasters will host auditions for These Shining Lives. Auditions will be held in Kendall Hall, Building 12, Auditorium. Students and community members are encouraged to audition. No prior acting experience is necessary. Please prepare a one-minute dramatic or serio-comic monologue from a contemporary play.  If you do not have experience preparing monologues for auditions, don’t worry—a piece for you to “cold-read” will be provided.

These Shining Lives is a play written by Melanie Marnich. It chronicles the strength and determination of women considered expendable in their day, exploring their true story and its continued resonance. Catherine and her friends are dying, it's true, but theirs is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense. The women refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits—or endanger the lives of those who come after them.

The production will run March 1-4, 2018. For more information, contact Alicia Bickley at abickley@yvcc.edu  or 509.574.4837.
