Columbia Crest Winery

Yakima Valley’s Columbia Crest Winery is one of the top wineries in Washington State.

Since its founding in the early ‘80s, Columbia Crest Winery has attracted much recognition for both its red and white wines. Wine Spectator has named several Columbia Crest wines to its top 100 list.

Columbia Crest wines are divided into three tiers: Reserve wines, Grand Estates wines and Two Vines wines. Among Columbia Crest Reserve wines are a 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon, a 2003 Merlot and a 2004 Chardonnay. All three have received a rating of at least 90 points from Wine Spectator. In 2006, five Columbia Crest Grand Estates wines and eight Two Vines wines were designated a “Best Buy” or a “Best Value” by Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.

In an industry where geography is destiny, Columbia Crest Winery has chosen wisely. The Columbia Crest wineries and vineyards are located along the Columbia River in the Horse Heaven Hills appellation, which shares an important attribute with central France. They’re both at the same latitude.

As Washington State’s largest winery, Columbia Crest Winery is a must-see for wine aficionados traveling through Yakima Valley Wine Country. Columbia Crest wines invite wine-lovers to enjoy self-guided tours of the Columbia Crest Winery almost every day of the year. Columbia Crest Winery also hosts a number of special events, such as Vineyard tours, barrel tasting, a harvest celebration, Thanksgiving festivities, an annual kite festival and a vintage Mustang car show.
