Workshop Presenters

Wayne Bishop
Wayne Bishop was seven years old when his parents, Bill and Sandy, started Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm in 1973. Wayne grew up with the farm before leaving to study Agricultural Engineering at Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo. He later managed a machine shop in Antioch, California before returning to the farm in 1995. Mr. Bishop is now a co-owner of Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm, Inc. and manages day-to-day operations. He has been largely responsible for business expansions which have pushed 2006 sales to five times 1994 levels.

Jyl Singh

Jyl Singh
Jyl Singh started their agritourism business in 1999 on the family farm which involved a Farm Market, tours, pumpkin patch, corn maze, greenhouse workshops, and a haunted house. The business grew steadily each year. In the past four years Jyl has been involved with the BC Agritourism Alliance and is now under contract with BCATA for the farm accreditations. She visits agritourism operations over the entire province. Visit her website at www.agritourismbc.com
